Doluperine 60 Cap

Doluperine is a plant-extract food supplement combining concentrated turmeric, ginger and black pepper in a vegetable capsule. Pack of 60.

Composition

• Turmeric extract (Curcuma longa rhizome), concentrated in curcuminoids
• Ginger extract (Zingiber officinale rhizome), concentrated in gingerols
• Black pepper extract (Piper nigrum), concentrated in piperine
• Hypromellose (vegetable capsule), magnesium stearate

Why the three together

Curcumin on its own is poorly absorbed from the gut. Piperine, the active compound in black pepper, is included because it markedly improves how much curcumin reaches the bloodstream — which is why the two are so often formulated together. Ginger is a traditional companion to turmeric in joint-support formulas.

How to take it

Take as directed on the pack, ideally with food. Food supplements should not replace a varied, balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle.

Before you take it

• Piperine increases the absorption of many medicines, not just curcumin. If you take any prescription medication, check with a pharmacist before starting this — it can raise drug levels in the blood.
• Turmeric supplements may not be suitable if you take blood thinners, or if you have gallstones or bile duct problems.
